Turn your Kyocera MFP into a DocuWare portal.
AT Managed Technology we’ve long been excited by the potential for genuine cloud based computing that DocuWare’s Cloud Computing platform offers. With no need for client-side software installation the platform offers the ability to store, search, display, download edit, and integrate documents into your business processes over the internet from anywhere at any time, anywhere around the world.
Now Kyocera have embraced the platform with the release of their DocuWare Connector – the first application to support the DocuWare Cloud platform. Its now possible to turn your HyPAS-enabled Kyocera MFP into a portal to DocuWare’s Enterprise Content Management system.
The application opens up on demand printing, intelligent file-size recognition, streamlined installation, card authentication and much more for Kyocera machines.
Kyocera’s DocuWare Connector greatly simplifies complex document management processes with users able to use their Kyocera MFP to scan documents directly to (or retrieve files from) any folder within their DocuWare system, including personal web baskets.
Users instantly see recently used index dialogs when indexing a document which minimises processing time for common workflows. All users can also log into a secured Kyocera HyPAS-enabled MFP and Kyocera’s DocuWare Connector with just one swipe of their registered proximity card, utilising the single sign on capability.
All in all we believe that the combination of Kyocera HyPAS and Docuware can only be a good thing for users in both camps. If you’d like to find out more and discuss how this could impact your business talk to us today.
For a second year Gartner have published their Magic Quadrant report for managed print and content services. The 2015 round up sees Kyocera, one of Managed Technology’s partners, positioned as ‘Visionary’ in the category.
The influential report evaluates vendor capabilities in the rapidly emerging content service market as well as managed print services – two categories we keep a close eye on here at Managed Technology.
The accolade is an endorsement of Kycocera’s strategy to invest heavily in it’s Managed Document Services (MDS) line and the establishment of a Global Solutions Support Team.
Ryuzo Morita, Director of KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. and Senior General Manager of its Corporate Strategy Planning Division said: “We believe that being a ‘Visionary’ shows that KYOCERA thoroughly comprehends today’s market, and knows how to open customer eyes to the possibilities of tomorrow’s document solutions.”
We’ve seen this first hand at Managed Technology with many of our clients benefitting from recent Kyocera innovations such as Net Manager and their DocuWare Connector.

January saw Kyocera announce the release of their Kyocera Net Manager to the UK market.
At managed Technology we’re great advocates for the increased control that remote monitoring and diagnostics can give so we were very excited by this news.
Kyocera Net Manager is a modular system with a super simple and user friendly interface that even allows you to create shortcuts for complex tasks. This alone could save great amounts of time but the real savings are from the increased information that the application will give users on print, scan and copy usage.
Management functions include monitoring of printing, secure print, pull printing with Print&Follow, delayed print, automatic modification of print jobs, creating and exporting reports, user management of print jobs and consolidation of various existing systems.
Its not difficult to see how this information could transform the usage of MFPs in many businesses.
Kyocera’s Product Marketing Manager, James Chantler said: “As businesses throughout all industries continue to seek ways to control costs and increase efficiency, we’re delighted that KYOCERA Net Manager is now available for our UK customers. Our customers rely on us to provide up-to-date innovative solutions to ensure documents are protected and to make their workflows quicker and more efficient. We do this by providing an integrated approach to input and output document management, using the right tools to ensure customer costs are controlled and reduced.”
Net Manager also offers a host of security features that will satisfy the toughest of IT managers. Users can print, copy, scan and fax after they have logged in at a selected device using an ID card, PIN or password.
If you think your business could benefit from Net Manager then talk to us at Managed Technology today. We have a wealth of experience installing both Kyocera products and diagnostic network software for the management of print fleets.
